BOISE -- A local woman is taking her crochet skills all the way through the 12 days of Christmas to help premature babies.
Christine Naugle, of Boise, is a contributing designer for the Sunset Crochet Christmas Charity Challenge. An event that challenges crochet enthusiasts to make 12 hats for premature babies. The hats are then donated to local neonatal intensive care units.
Naugle said the event makes a big difference, "The 12 days of Christmas Charity Challenge has been running for about a week and so far we have about 1,600 people signed up for it which in fold results in about 20,000 hats."
The challenge runs from now up until Christmas day.
