PINE, Idaho – There is more good news from the people fighting the Trinity Ridge Fire.
This morning, Pine-Featherville Road opened to all traffic.
Along the southern portion of the fire in the Boise National Forest, more fire lines are being declared contained.
Air resources will be monitoring areas of the fire, as some uncontrolled line still exists.
Along the northern portion of the fire, crews continue to build contingency lines.
There are still nearly 1,000 personnel assigned to the Trinity Ridge Fire which has burned more than 145,000 acres and cost $36 million. The estimated date of containment is Oct. 1.
The incident management team will update homeowners at a community meeting at 5 p.m. Friday at Basin Elementary School in Idaho City.
