BOISE -- Police say an inmate currently housed at the Ada County Jail tossed what appeared to be a disgusting "punch mix" on several officers early Friday morning. The mixture caused all three to suffer from burning eyes, among other symptoms.

According to Ada County Sheriff's Dept. Spokesperson Andrea Dearden, inmate Victor Arvizu tossed what looked like Kool-aid or punch on three to four officers on Friday. Dearden says immediately afterward, the officers complained of feeling sick, and were subsequently taken to an area hospital because they complained of "burning eyes."

Arvizu has been in the jail for the last eight months on a stalking charge. Dearden says today's attack means he will likely be spending additional time in jail. He is expected to be charged with multiple counts of felony battery on an officer.

Sheriff's deputies don't yet know what was in the mysterious "punch mix."
