EAGLE -- Over the next several months, crews will be widening Highway 44 to five lanes.

Meanwhile, the traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 44 and West State Street will not be operating while crews rework the intersection.

This work is part of the Idaho Transportation Department's improvements to Highway 44, from Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane.

Construction is expected to be completed by this fall.
