KUNA, Idaho -- A big effort to raise money and awareness for juvenile diabetes had a personal touch at Kuna High School Saturday night.
A musical showcase, featuring some of Idaho's most talented musicians, helped raise money for researching juvenile diabetes.
It was all organized as a senior class project, lead by Julia Durrant, who knows quite a bit about diabetes because of her brother, also a Kuna High student.
"My younger brother was diagnosed with diabetes ten years ago, and I wanted to do something that would help convey to him my hope that there will be a cure," said Julia Durrant.
"It really gets to help a lot of people out and kind of spread out and get a lot of people to know about what us diabetics go through and kind of our experiences," said Daniel Durrant.
There were performances by jazz musicians, a classical soprano vocalist and a country-pop singer.
