GARDEN CITY – Ustick Road between Curtis Road and Mountain View Drive is back open after a two-vehicle crash involving a cement truck and a SUV closed the road for about two hours this afternoon.

Blair Brannan with Garden City Police says the cement truck was westbound on Ustick Road when a Lincoln Navigator tried to make a turn in front of the truck. The driver of the cement truck slammed on the brakes and lost control.

The impact of the collision caused the cement truck to roll over. The accident happened around 1:48 p.m. on Ustick Road near West 43rd Street. Another car was damaged by flying debris.

There are no injuries to report. The truck and Navigator have extensive damage.

Ada County Highway District were called out to remove dry cement that spilled onto the road. Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles.
