BOISE -- Boise Police say no one was injured after a car crashed into a vacant business near Emerald Street and Maple Grove Road Monday afternoon.
The white sedan was completely inside the building when officers arrived on scene just after 1 p.m. Police say the woman was trying to pull out of a parking space and put the vehicle in drive instead of reverse. The car jumped a sidewalk and went about 20 feet into the building before coming to a stop.
Keith Wheeler works next door and said he heard a loud bang. At first he thought it was construction workers on the roof, but then came a second loud bang. He was surprised when he learned a crash had crashed into the building.
Luckily, the title company that occupied that space had vacated their offices about a week ago, and no one was inside the building at the time of the accident.
The woman was not hurt and police said no citations are being issued.
There was extensive damage to the building.
