BOISE -- The Beaver Creek Fire has affected a lot of people in the Wood River Valley Community in a variety of ways. Managers had to cancel both the Hailey and Ketchum Farmers Markets for this coming week, due to fire danger and evacuations in the area.

But even though they were pushed out of those markets, the vendors were invited down to the Capital City Market on Saturday.

Seven vendors from the Wood River area showed up and said they really appreciated the opportunity.

"The fire came through the whole Wood River Valley area and businesses closed, the farmers market stopped running, so these folks were generous enough to offer us a spot down here. So we thought we would come on down, and give it a shot," said Judd McMahan, a visiting vendor.

Vendors had the chance to sell their goods at no set-up charge. Capital City Market invited Wood River vendors to join them again on August 31st.
