BOISE -- Baseball coaches and fans in Boise have heard the name Stephen Fife for a while now.
The 6'3" right-hander was on the 1999 South Boise team that went to the Little League World series. He also won a state championship with the Borah Lions, played for Utah in college, and was drafted into the MLB back in 2008.
On Tuesday, Fife made his big league debut starting for the Dodgers against the Phillies. He pitched six innings, only giving up one run on four hits.
Despite that performance, the Phillies ended up winning 3 to 2 over the Dodgers.
