BOISE -- A Boise man who robbed a west Boise bank on May 11 has pleaded guilty to robbery.
Jerry C. Tudehope, 64, entered his guilty plea Friday in an Ada County courtroom. He was charged with robbing the Bank of the West branch on Emerald Street.
The robbery occurred at a bank that is just around the corner from a police station at City Hall West.
Boise Police released surveillance photos of the robbery suspect, and a citizen tip led to Tudehope’s arrest at a relative’s home the day after the robbery.
Ada County prosecuting attorney George Gunn says Tudehope was released from prison in February after serving time for a 2006 robbery. Boise Police tell us he robbed the Cash Store on Overland Road with a knife. The clerk reported that Tudehope was wearing a Halloween mask and sunglasses.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 19 before Fourth District Judge Timothy Hansen.
Gunn says prosecutors will recommend a 15-year fixed sentence, plus 10 years indeterminate.
