BOISE -- A Boise man who has been cashing counterfeit bills all across Idaho pleaded guilty Monday.

WIlliam Hanson, 35, was arrested in Washington County back in April for using a phony $50 bill at a coffee shop.

Hanson admitted to knowing it was a $5 bill that had been bleached and printed to look like a $50 note.

He had four similar bills on him.

A subsequent investigation found that prior to his arrest, passed 35 similar counterfeit $50 notes in Burley, Twin Falls, Boise, Garden City, Nampa, Eden, Horseshoe Bend, Donnelly, McCall, New Meadows and Council.

Hanson's sentencing is set for late August.
