BOISE -- Crowds swarmed to the Boise Public Library on Saturday, as books went on sale for only 25 or 50 cents each.
All of Saturday's sales, of course, go back to the library for them to purchase more books, as well as to support library programs, projects, and future events.
"We feel like it's important because it gets books back in the hands of people, and it's the ultimate in recycling," said library volunteer, Bonnie Longstreth. "People donate their books to the library. The library goes through, and adds between five and seven thousand items to the collection from donations, and the rest go to the various book sales. The funds are more than $150,000 a year now."
The library also says, they are always accepting donations.
