BOISE -- Homeowner Jennifer Buatte contacted KTVB after she saw our story on the firefighters who protected her home from a large grass fire on Tuesday.

She says the experience was unforgettable, and she'd like to thank the firefighters who saved her.

Buatte submitted a whole photo gallery taken from her family's point of view during the fire. You can click on the pictures and see what she experienced.

Here's our original story

Ada County Dispatchers tell KTVB the grass fire fire broke out about 100 feet away from several southeast Boise homes around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Reports indicate that several neighbors had to fight the fire, which is said to have spread to a fence near Hwy 21. and East Lake Forest Drive in the Columbia Village subdivision.

Boise Firefighters reportedly contained the fire at 3 p.m. Battallion Chief Jake Ellis told KTVB neighbors reported fireworks in the area before the fire.

"That's our inclination. There doesn't seem to be any other start possibility at this point," said Ellis.

Ellis said the exact cause of the fire was still under investigation.
