BOISE -- With November 11th falling on a Sunday this year, Boise State University took time out today to honor veterans.
A ceremony was held this morning in the Stueckle Sky Center atop Bronco Stadium.
Boise State's student involvement leadership group plans the Veterans Day program each year - recognizing those who serve in times of peace and times of war.
Service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan make up a significant portion of the student body.
"More than one in 12 of our students is a former active service member, so they're a large part of our campus experience," said Ryan Gregg, ASBSU president. "They play all kinds of roles on campus, you know, you certainly can't typecast a veteran student."
Some of those roles include taking the concerns of Boise State students to the Idaho Legislature, and providing support for other veterans on campus.
