BOISE -- Officers are searching for a man who robbed a Boise Jacksons store at the corner of Nez Perce and Roosevelt around 10 p.m Thursday.

Boise police say the suspect pointed a black handgun at the clerk before getting away with cash. He was last seen running south on Roosevelt Street.

Police say the suspect is young, most likely in his teens to early twenties. He has light skin and is around five feet, 10 inches tall with sandy hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and had a white bandana around his face.

GAS STATION ROBBERIES

This is just the latest in a string of recent robberies, most of them involving a weapon. There have been at least six robberies in the Boise area since October 24th. In many cases, police are still looking for the person responsible for the crime. Several gas station convenience stores have been hit, including the Maverik at Five Mile and Victory, which was robbed twice in just a few weeks.

Two people were arrested after the first robbery on November 22nd. The suspect in the second robbery is still on the loose.

A man wth a gun also robbed a Garden City Subway restaurant around that same time. Police are still looking for him.

Authorities aren't saying if they believe any of these recent armed robberies are connected.
