BOISE -- Get ready to break out your ball caps, Boise. Mayor Dave Bieter officially declared Friday "Sandlot Day" in the captital city.

Bieter's proclamation comes just in time for Hawks Family Movie Night and the 20th anniversary of the movie, "The Sandlot."

On hand today, Scott Evans and Marty York, the inspiration for the film's Scotty Smalls and Yeah Yeah, respectively. Evans and York each picked up their own printed copy of Bieter's declaration.

Evans and York will attend the movie's screening Friday night. The gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the film starts at 9:30 p.m.
