BOISE -- Some students hoping to move into the dorms at Boise State University are finding themselves in a hotel instead.
BSU spokesman Frank Zang said the school anticipated an overcrowding issue and made a deal with the DoubleTree Club on Parkcenter Boulevard.
Thirty students now call the hotel home and the school says they are working hard to make those students feel like part of the campus.
"Boise State has worked to recreate a residence hall at the Doubletree, the 30 rooms are all together, there is lounge, there are laundry facilities, we have staff that are assigned to work in that area," said Zang.
In prior years, BSU used the University Inn for overcrowding, but that building will soon be torn down and turned into the College of Business and Economics building.
BSU is looking to build new townhouses for students in the future, possibly by fall of 2012.
