BOISE -- An arson investigation is underway in Nampa after police say someone intentionally set a fire that damaged two homes.
Police say the fire started outside two homes on North Benewah Place early Thursday morning.
The fire spread into some large trees next to one of the houses, which quickly caused the fire to spread even further.
One of the homes was vacant.
We spoke to the homeowner of the other house.
She's thankful firefighters were able to get the flames out so quickly before they reached her garage.
"In my garage there's all sorts of solvents and paints and thinners," said Colleen Baker. "And had that came in "poof," we'd probably be in a hospital or dead."
But, thankfully, no one was injured in the fire.
The damage is estimated at around $7,000.
Anyone who has information about this incident should call Nampa Police.
