BOISE -- Bogus Basin is receiving a $100,000 grant to support its new Mountain Dew Terrain Park.
The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation is making the donation that will allow Bogus Basin to purchase 10 new features and make improvements to its existing ones.
“The impact of the Albertson Foundation’s support will greatly improve the park experience and ramp up the satisfaction level of our younger skiers and riders who have been asking for improvements,” said Bogus Basin General Manager Alan Moore.
Moore said affordable outdoor recreation and education is what's best for the community, and that commitment will continue thanks to this grant.
Meanwhile, skiers and snowboarders are still waiting for the mountain to open, hopefully by the time school lets out for the Christmas break. No new snow fell at Bogus Basin overnight, but there is snow in the forecast this weekend.
