BOISE -- Idaho State Police are investigating an accident that happened on westbound Interstate 84 at the Eagle Road off ramp, Monday night.
Police say around 6:00 p.m., Pamela Halvorson, 65, of Meridian was going west in a 2012 Kia Forte and was stopped in traffic while taking the Eagle Road exit.
That is when Mark Oldham, 53, of Orem, Utah, who was also going west in a 2012 Dodge van, became distracted and rear-ended Halvorson on the off ramp.
Police say that Halvorson's Kia then hit a light pole, causing it to fall down across the off ramp blocking traffic for around one hour.
Halvorson was transported to St. Luke's on Eagle Road with unknown injuries.
