MOSCOW -- Latah County Magistrate John Judge has postponed the preliminary hearing of a man accused of murdering his pregnant wife and then burning down their home.
The preliminary hearing for Silas B. Parks was scheduled for July 14 but Judge rescheduled the hearing for Aug. 6 after attorneys on both sides of the case said they needed more time for the evidence disclosure process.
The 25-year-old Parks is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson in the June 24 death of his 28-year-old wife Sarah J. Parks and her unborn child. Sarah Parks was a third-grade teacher.
