BOISE - A Treasure Valley couple welcomed four new children into the world this week!
Alexander, Benjamin, Samuel and Emilee are the first quadruplets born in Boise since 1994.
And they're the first children for Tracy and Richard Finken.
"We've been trying to have a baby for two years. I wanted two overall. She wanted three. We ended up with four," said Richard Finken, father of quadruplets
Tracy took a fertility drug with the hope that it would bring about the release of one, maybe two, eggs.
This week, they got what they hoped for - and then some - when Tracy gave birth to the four little ones by caesarian section.
"For Tracy to have carried these babies for 30 weeks, with four inside her, is a miracle." said Dr. Stewart Lawrence.
Dr. Lawrence says the quads needed help with breathing for an hour or two, but are in great condition.
Benjamin - the baby that weights the most - will probably stay in the hospital for at least seven or eight weeks.
Emilee - the smallest - may stay for 10 to 11 weeks.
As for mom and dad, they have some smaller cars they need to sell - so they can buy a mini-van.
