Hyde Park Street Fair funds community initiatives

The 37th annual Hyde Park Street fair raises funds for the North End Neighborhood Association.

BOISE -- The 37th annual Hyde Park Street Fair kicked off Friday at Camel's Back Park.

"It's an opportunity to welcome people into the neighborhood," said Chris Wagener, North End Neighborhood Association board member

The annual event is a fundraiser for the North End Neighborhood Association. Proceeds from the event are turned into grants for local schools and neighborhood initiatives.

The family friendly event features local food vendors, clothing vendors, live local music and more.

For those looking to avoid the traffic, there is a shuttle at First Baptist Church, located on 13th street.

Those who ride their bikes to Hyde Park will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new bike.

The fair runs until Sunday night at 9:30 p.m.
