TWIN FALLS -- One thing you notice from the Perrine bridge is that the Snake River is flanked by two golf courses.

Canyon Springs is a beautiful public course, and Blue Lakes Country Club is one of the most unique golf courses in America.

The main attraction at Blue Lakes is the series of interconnected ponds and small lakes. It does not matter how many times you play there, golfers cannot help but be drawn to the mesmerizing bright green and blue plant life that grows beneath the water's crystal clear surface.

Find out what causes these lakes to be so blue, and why they never freeze by watching the video above.
