COUNCIL -- KTVB always discovers something many people have never seen before during our trips to rural Idaho towns and cities, and Monday was no different in Council, Idaho.
Like cow dog trials, a sport that has been around since the early 1800s. Border collies, taking either spoken or whistle commands, herding cows or sheep in compeititon.
Council's Jim and Judy mault have been in the cow dog trial business for 15 years and have traveled all over the west with their dogs.
But now, for the second year, they are able to compete right here at home.
June 25 and 26 at the Ox Ranch in Bear, more than 60 dogs and their owners from a half dozen states will be in Council for one of this sport's most elite stops.
