IDAHO FALLS -- The two candidates vying for a spot on the Idaho Supreme Court will participate in a forum in eastern Idaho.
The Post Register reports that candidates Robyn Brody, a Twin Falls attorney, and Sen. Curt McKenzie, a Republican from Nampa, are currently in a runoff election. The two are scheduled to discuss their candidacy on Sept. 23 in Idaho Falls, which will be hosted by the Idaho Falls City Club and moderated by KIFI-TV anchor Karole Honas.
President Mark Young says the city club chose to host a forum rather than a debate because supreme court candidates are banned from talking about their past or current political party affiliations. Instead, candidates can only speak broadly about certain issues.
The last time Idaho had a supreme court runoff election was in 1998.
