Hundreds line Meridian streets for light parade

MERIDIAN -- Hundreds lined the streets of downtown Meridian Friday night for the fifth annual Meridian Lights Parade.

Dozens of parade entries made their way down Main St. and through the city center adorned with festive lights, bright costumes and, of course, an appearance from Buddy the elf and his friend Jovie.

At the conclusion of the parade, Buddy the elf and Jovie helped light the Meridian Christmas tree, located in Generations Plaza at Main and Idaho.

Over 10,200 feet of lights (over 29,750 sparkling lights) wrap the tree
