Hundreds get hepatitis A shots after eating at Boise restaurant
12:07 PM MDT on Tuesday, April 1, 2008
BOISE -- More than 280 people have been given shots to ward off hepatitis A after eating at the Red Feather Lounge in Boise.
Dave Fotsch with the Central District Health Department says Monday was the last day for restaurant patrons to get the injections.
Health department officials say that people who ate at the restaurant between March 5 and March 17 may have been exposed to the disease because a server had hepatitis A.
So far, no one who ate at the restaurant has caught the viral illness.
Hepatitis A causes jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain, diarrhea and fever.
