BOISE -- As the swine flu virus continues to spread, federal officials say more people are able to get the vaccine.

Clinical trials of the vaccine show one dose appears to protect most pregnant women who get the shot.

However, a second dose is necessary for children under the age of 10.

"There was a sharp increase in the immune response to the vaccine after they received a second dose," said Anthony Fauci, M.D., National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

So far, 114 children have died from the H1N1 virus since April.

The government has released its entire stockpile of liquid Tamiflu.

The FDA has given emergency clearance to another brand of anti-viral.

This Wednesday, KTVB.COM will host a special live program focused on the flu.
