BOISE -- Boise Police are warning people about a dangerous new drug they say is responsible for four recent overdoses.

It's a synthetic drug called 25i.  Four people were hospitalized after taking it.

25i is a hallucinogen and is comparable to LSD.

Police believe it's being passed around locally in a liquid or pill form, even though it's usually powder.

The drug can cause depression, bleeding in the brain, and heart failure, among other side effects.

Anyone made aware of the use or sale of 25i is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
