BOISE -- A Republican lawmaker continued his fight against Idaho's insurance exchange by asking Attorney General Lawrence Wasden to review whether personal information submitted to the Internet marketplace is secure.

On Monday, Rep. Lynn Luker of Boise said media reports and congressional hearings highlight concern with security risks in the federal portal, www.healthcare.gov, that Your Health Idaho exchange is using.

Luker isn't assuaged by exchange chairman Stephen Weeg's assurances in September the exchange's enrollment software is secure.

In response to Luker, Amy Dowd, executive director of Your Health Idaho, says her team will cooperate with the attorney general's office.

Still, there are limits.

That's because the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services forbid Your Health Idaho from using its $65 million in federal grants to do its own security assessments.
