February is heart month and to tie into eating for the heart, St. Luke's registered dietitian Stacy Beeson talks about going meatless on Monday.
A main component in meat items is saturated fat which is a solid fat that increases risk for heart disease. If you lower animal products, you lower saturated fat. It also helps showcase vegetables as the main meal component rather than meat.
