BOISE -- One of the most prestigious national awards in medicine was given to an Idaho doctor Wednesday in Boston.
Dr. Karl Watts, the co-founder and president of Genesis World Mission, a free medical clinic in Garden City, was awarded the 2010 family physician of the year award by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
This is a man lobbying for health care reform telling Dee Sarton on a recent "Viewpoint" he doesn't care about politics, he simply wants his free clinic to be put out of business by a system that allows everyone to be insured.
"I want us to adopt a system that people are comfortable with and that gets the job done whatever it is!" said Watts.
Watts was named Idaho family physician of the year in 2008.
