BOISE - Fall is supposed to bring lower gas prices because of lower demand and the switch to cheaper winter grade fuel. It hasn't happened in Idaho yet, but AAA says relief is ahead.
Idaho is currently sitting at the 7th highest pump prices in the U.S.
Average prices in the Gem State are about 25 cents per gallon above the national average.
Experts say a combination of pipeline and refinery issues and uncertainty about future oil production kept prices higher. But those numbers should drop heading into the holiday season.
