BOISE – “Sharknado” was one of the most talked-about movies of the summer and it wasn’t shown in theaters. Until tonight.

The made-for-TV movie makes its big screen debut at midnight, but you only get one shot to see it in the theater.

The movie is about killer sharks who get sucked into a tornado and dumped on Los Angeles. The over-the-top film reeled in a modest audience of 1.4 million for its July premiere on the SyFy channel. But it spawned a twitter feeding frenzy of 5,000 tweets a minute afterward.

HOW TO SEE IT

“Sharknado” will be shown at 200 regal cinemas around the country, including the Edwards Theater in Downtown Boise and the Edwards on Overland Road.

There's even the rumor of extra scenes never seen before.
