Two men arrested, 20 pounds of meth seized in Canyon County

CALDWELL - Two men have been arrested after a yearlong investigation resulted in what Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue called "one of the largest meth seizures we’ve had in Canyon County during my time in law enforcement."

Andres E. Diaz, 42, of Caldwell, and Jose O. Ulloa, 53, of Nampa, are both charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine.

The men were arrested Monday after the Canyon County City County Narcotics Unit, assisted by the DEA and Ada County Narcotics Unit, served search warrants at homes in Nampa and Caldwell.

The sheriff's office said about 20 pounds of meth were found inside the homes.

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Caldwell police and Nampa police also assisted in the case.

“This is one of the largest meth seizures we’ve had in Canyon County during my time in law enforcement,” said Donahue said. “I want to thank the City County Narcotics Unit, DEA, and our local Ada County and Canyon County law enforcement partners who assisted CCNU over the past year to help bring these men to justice and remove these dangerous drugs from our communities.”

Diaz and Ulloa are being held in the Canyon County Jail on $500,000 and $1 million bonds, respectively.

Their arraignments are set for May 19.
