CALDWELL -- Caldwell Police are looking for a man accused of shooting another person after an argument Tuesday evening.
Police learned about the shooting after the victim, a 22-year-old Ontario man, walked into a local emergency room with a gunshot wound at about 6:30 p.m.
Investigators say the 22-year-old and the suspect had gotten into an argument at a Nampa business. After the victim drove away, the suspect followed him and shot him near the intersection of Santa Ana Avenue and Blue Springs Street, according to police.
The 22-year-old's injuries are not life-threatening, and he told police he does not want to press charges. Caldwell Police Lt. Alan Seevers said the man is not cooperating with the investigation.
Seevers said department is still investigating the shooting, and will turn over whatever they find out to the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. Police are still working to figure out what type of gun was used, and whether the incident was gang-related.
The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 20 and 30 with fair skin. He was driving a black or dark gray car with black wheels. The car may have a dealer license plate, police say, but the plate numbers are unknown.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Canyon County Sheriff Dispatch at 454-7531, or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
