02:59 PM MDT on Sunday, April 27, 2008
COEUR d' ALENE - Police serving a search warrant in a counterfeit money investigation found three powerful pipe bombs in a Coeur d'Alene garage.
A bomb squad safely detonated the devices and federal authorities are expected to expand their investigation this week.
25-year-old Hoss Dillon was booked into the Kootenai County Jail on Saturday for investigation of counterfeiting and possession of explosive devices.
Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives hope to determine where the bomb parts came from and if there was an intended target.
Dillon arrived at the home as Idaho state police and federal agents were serving a warrant, but was arrested at gunpoint a short distance away.
