Garden City woman charged with slashing boyfriend

GARDEN CITY -- A Garden City woman is behind bars after police say she cut her boyfriend during an argument early Wednesday morning.

Jennifer Lee Wall, 25, is charged with aggravated battery, battery and malicious injury to property in connection with the attack.

Officers were called out to the 400 block of East 51st Street at 2:50 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. The victim, a 45-year-old man, had been slashed across the forearm, police say.

According to investigators, Wall cut the victim after a verbal argument turned physical. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the wound, which was not life-threatening, officers said.

Police have not released whether Wall wielded a knife or another type of weapon.

Wall was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail. She is due to appear in court Thursday afternoon.

If convicted of aggravated battery, she could face up to 15 years in prison.
