Man sentenced in Paul's Market robbery

BOISE - A 35-year-old man will spend at least eight years in prison for the armed robbery of the Paul's Market in Boise in April, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said.

Andrew Reed Buzard was sentenced Wednesday on a felony robbery charge. The sentence is for 20 years, but Buzard can seek parole after eight years.

The sheriff's office said Buzard was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt when he walked into the store located in the 10000 block of W. Lake Hazel Road just before 10:15 p.m. April 11.

Buzard took out a gun and demanded a store employee give him money from the store, then he left.

He was arrested two days later at his home on West Brownstone Drive. His home was about four blocks from the market.

Buzard pleaded guilty to a felony charge of robbery in October as part of a plea agreement with Ada County prosecutors.
