BOISE -- Police are investigating after a resident's gay pride flag was set on fire in front of a home sometime overnight Saturday.
According to Boise Police, the resident was displaying the rainbow flag at their house near North 25th and Heron streets in support of Pride Week. The unknown suspect damaged the flag at sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday night and 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
Boise Police is investigating the flag-burning as a possible case of malicious harassment. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or leave a tip online at www.343COPS.com.
Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
June is recognized as gay pride month, also known as LGBT pride month. Boise's annual Pride Festival is set for this weekend in Capitol Park.
