Boise man charged in child porn case

BOISE -- A Boise man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say they found evidence he was downloading child pornography.

Steven James Dixon, 28, was arrested Wednesday after an investigation by the Idaho Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. He faces five counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Dixon is accused of downloading multiple explicit videos and images of children.

According to the attorney general, Dixon came to the attention of law enforcement after they recieved a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

If convicted, he could face up to ten years in prison for each count. Dixon is due to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
