BOISE -- Police say a 44-year-old Boise man is charged with felony drug trafficking and manufacturing after they found a large marijuana grow inside his Bench-neighborhood home on Thursday.

Anthony M. Allen was growing marijuana indoors, packaging it, and selling it out of his home on the 2500 block of South Kerr Place, according to police evidence.

Officers say they found more than 200 marijuana plants, in various stages of growth, inside a spare bedroom in his home. They also seized nearly two pounds of dried, packaged pot.

Allen was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop. Officers say they investigated a citizen tip about drug activity near Allen's home, then got a search warrant Thursday evening. They found him driving nearby.

Members of the BANDIT task force and Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers assisted in the arrest.
