BOISE COUNTY -- The volunteer firefighter who intentionally started a wildfire near Robie Creek last September was sentenced today.
Nineteen-year-old Nathaniel Bartholomew was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with three-and-a-half fixed. The judge put him in a rider program for the next six months.

He admitted to starting the Karney Fire that burned 440 acres, destroyed one home and threatened several others.
When Bartholomew learned he was going to prison he began to weep in the courtroom.
