POCATELLO, Idaho -- A Fort Hall man convicted for firing a gun at a person sitting in a parked vehicle earlier last year has been ordered to spend two years in prison.
Federal prosecutors said 21-year-old Adan Diaz must also serve three years of supervised release after prison and pay $250 in restitution.
Diaz pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon. Prosecutors say he pointed a gun at an individual sitting in a vehicle near a Fort Hall home. Diaz fired off a shot that missed the man inside but struck a window in the vehicle. Diaz later told police he intended to injure the man he was targeting.
