TWIN FALLS -- A Twin Falls man will spend at least five years in prison for the death of a toddler.
A Fifth District judge sentenced 20-year-old Lane Buddenhagen to a total of 15 years in prison, with five fixed, for voluntary manslaughter.
Buddenhagen pleaded guilty to that charge last year in connection with the death of his fiancee's three-year-old son.
Police said that he told them he left the bathroom while the boy was taking a bath, heard a loud sound, and returned to find the boy on the floor.
A doctor at St. Luke's Magic Valley told police he believed the child's injuries were the result severe abuse.
