TWIN FALLS -- A southern Idaho jury has found a Twin Falls man guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jason Jay Ward was given the guilty verdict Thursday afternoon, and faces between one year and life in prison when he is sentenced Sept. 14.
The Times-News reports that earlier Thursday, Ward testified in his own defense, telling jurors that the sex was consensual and that the victim in the case asked to be bitten and choked.
Prosecutors said the rape happened on May 23, 2011, after Ward pulled the woman into his truck by her hair while she was walking away from his house. The woman testified that he punched and bit her during the attack.
