MERIDIAN--  The Meridian Police Department is trying to find out who is responsible for more than 21 separate acts of vandalism, including breaking windows and spray painting fences, signs and cars.

The vandalism happened near Locust Grove and Victory Road.  Police believe the crimes happened between Monday night and Wednesday morning.

Officers are now asking for the public's help in finding the suspects.

Police say whoever is responsible for the act spray painted short phrases like "208 Diablo," "B Wicked," and 'Thug Royalty".  On top of the spray paint, some car windows were also smashed.

Meridian Deputy Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea, says the suspects caused thousands of dollars in property damage.

This case is being investigated by the impact team.

"Obviously our detectives are working a lot of other investigations that take priority over these things," said Basterrechea.  "So, the impact team really is a team we can divert to work these cases when they show up immediately and hopefully bring suspects into custody in a short period of time."

The impact team has contacted school resource officers to see if they may be able to provide any leads.  Police say most likely the suspects are in their late teens to mid-twenties, possibly a current or former student a resource officer has worked with.

The Meridian Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them at (208) 888-6678.
