Boise -- Police officers responded to a report of gunshots fired near the intersection of Taft Street and Tamarack Drive in Boise just after 1 a.m. on Friday.
Here police found a 30 year-old man inside a vehicle who had suffered gunshot wounds.
According to police, the vehicle was leaving the scene.
According to a Boise Police news release, the man involved in the shooting was taken to Saint Alphonsus regional medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.
While the incident is still under investigation, police spokewoman Lynn Hightower says the shooting was most likely accidental.
