BOISE -- A 37-year-old Meridian man is facing felony DUI charges after Boise Police say he almost hit a woman and a child crossing a Boise street around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers say 37-year-old Jeremy D. Stom of Meridian slammed on his brake because he failed to see the two pedestrians, who were trying to cross Cherry Lane, west of South Shoshone Street in Boise.
An officer who witnessed the incident then reportedly stopped Stom.
Police say Stom appeared to be intoxicated at the time, and failed several field sobriety tests. A check through state driving records indicated he was also driving with a suspended license.
Stom is currently in the Ada County Jail.
